II. Manufacturing
Our Factory, Taiwan Silicone Development, LTD. holds ten patents and has applied for three additional patents related to the production of silicone breast forms. Our manufacturing expertise with silicone gel is highlighted by two key patent-pending processes:
Seamless Sealing - Seamless Sealing is a patented, fully automated machine process which seals the product with a skin-like thermal polyurethane (TPU) film, preventing flaws and leakage. It occurs in an atmospheric state that virtually eliminates bacterial contamination.
Plasma-Adhesion - Plasma Adhesion prepares the surface of the thermal polyurethane film for adhesion to the silicone product by means of a gas plasma treating process. It provides maximum adhesive bonding and joint strength between the thermal polyurethane film and the silicone product.
